The YWNA Plant Lab was thrilled to welcome the Multicultural Bay Ambassadors to help with our regular member sessions last Wednesday.
The Multicultural Bay Ambassadors Program is a four-month volunteer internship program for emerging professionals to develop skills in community engagement and education, and share cultural knowledge. As our groups are affiliates, it is wonderful to get the opportunity to meet and share ideas, while working together in the Plant Lab.
Claudia (Peru) and Casey (Japan), mentored by the EcoCentre’s Environmental Project Manager Catalina joined us in propagating and a plant out session in the reserve. It was a great opportunity to get to knee-high level and look back over the shimmering vision that the Chain Of Ponds is becoming, especially now in areas that are free of the netting.
